Cambria was sleepy and cute, and the surrounding coast was fun to

When I saw this show on the marquee, I thought surely it must be a
cover band or something, but here's photographic proof that it was the
real deal.

How could you not love that face?

Yes, I know I am obsessed with my cat. But she's so cuuuuute!

It was raining in Santa Cruz when we left, but it was gorgeous at the
preserve. There were still plenty of seals around, and we saw a coyote
in broad daylight!

Taken through a telescope from the patio at the Monterey aquarium.
There were sea lions on the base of the buoy, only just visible in
this photo.

This was taken with my phone, through the eyepiece of a reflector
telescope. Some kind soul set up the 'scope on Lighthouse point and
was giving passerby a look at Mars and the moon.

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals @ The Catalyst

Excellent show, even though I missed the entire first set. Great
sound, great musicianship - highly recommended if they come to your
neighborhood!

Finally!

Big day at the Lane

Big day at the Lane, originally uploaded by s.cooper.

This picture doesn't quite capture it, but it was a few feet overhead
to double overhead at the Lane today. These Middle Peak mackers looked
like mountains moving on the horizon.
